ABOUT US

Jimmy Hart has valued the importance of Black History and Multicultural Education for years.  The Innovators in History software titles are a God given idea.  They were created in an effort to teach tolerance, cultural pluralism and respect among different cultural and ethnic groups in America. By highlighting the contributions of Americans from the past to the present, we believe these software products will: (1) stimulate student interest; (2) help reduce ethnic and gender stereotyping; (3) help students develop cultural awareness and appreciation; (4) promote career awareness; (5) computer literacy; and (6) self-esteem for all students.  The Innovators in History software titles are being used at all levels of education.  From elementary schools to college institutions.

Jimmy Hart has been in Education for 13 years. During his career he worked for the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education, served as a teacher and administrator at the middle and high school levels, worked at the district level, and is presently an assistant director of a technology center.   Hart completed his B.S. in Industrial Technology from Langston University and received his Masters of Education degree in Secondary Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma.

Jimmy Hart participated in the development of the Oklahoma state test for Technology Education Certification and has written curriculum on multicultural education for the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education. In 1997 he received the “Keeper of the Dream” award given by the Ebony Tribune, Oklahoma City, and the “Young Entrepreneur of the Year” award given by the Oklahoma City Minority Business Development Center. Hart has given numerous workshops and seminars on the integration of multiculturalism and cultural awareness within the K - 12 curriculums.

Hart-Tech, Inc. was founded in January of 1998.
